Our Classic-ISO massive steel profile lets you explore a vintage, refined look resembling the hot rolled steel, equal leg profiles from the beginning of the 20th century. Classic-ISO profiles are ideal for renovation projects and can have both interior and exterior glazing. They meet all of today’s highest technical standards while respecting any architectural heritage they may adorn.
We believe in the power of solid steel profiles, combining their exceptional strength with unprecedented performance. The ingenuity of our profile systems offers architects the ultimate design flexibility with great attention to detail.
The solid steel profile strength, as measured by its bending resistance, is unrivaled by any other existing profile systems, with steel being three times stronger than aluminum.
We are the exclusive developer and manufacturer of all our profile systems as well as end products like doors, windows, and entire facades. As such, we maintain a unique industry position. Other manufacturers either develop and produce profile systems, or manufacture doors and windows using profiles produced elsewhere. Our combined services guarantee a flexible and versatile production process without compromising on quality or deadlines. Any adjustment of one step in the production process is seamlessly integrated into the next steps because we supervise the entire process. We consider this dedicated focus to be essential for our unique solid steel profile systems.
Thanks to our in-house engineering and innovation, we are highly versatile if it comes to combining elements into unique facades. In addition to fully customized projects, we offer multiple standard ultra-slim Classic-ISO window configurations. We can maintain their narrow sightlines even for the largest or most complex facades.
The exceptional strength of solid steel allows our revolutionary Classic-ISO profile to be ultra-slim and highly durable. With sightlines of just 30 mm (1 3⁄16”) , it has the slimmest sightlines in the global market. As such, it allows in all daylight and seamlessly combines the indoors and the outdoors.
Our ultra-slim profile systems offer architects the opportunity to create exceptionally large glass surfaces with plenty of room for experimentation. We can combine steel profiles combined into unique facades without the need for additional support structures. Even very large facades can maintain their narrow sightlines of 30 mm (1 3⁄16”) for fixed parts of the steel frame, 50 mm (1 15⁄16”) for elements opening inwards, and 58 mm (2 1⁄4”) for elements opening outwards.
Our Classic-ISO profile system has excellent thermal insulation properties and has been developed for double glazing with a thickness, including glass stops, between 16 (5⁄8”) and 21 mm (13⁄16”)(IG) 23 mm (7⁄8”)(OG). Its innovative, patented thermal break system offers optimal insulation. Its thermal bridge with a thickness of only 3 mm (1⁄8”) minimizes the heat loss surface.
The Classic-ISO profile has been tested and approved following the European NEN-EN 10077-1 and NEN-EN 10077-2 ISO standards as well as the American NFRC 100, 200, and 500-2014 standards.
An excellent surface treatment highly increases the lifespan of steel products. Powder coating is the best surface treatment for preserving steel. Out of all treatments, powder coating provides the thickest protective layer, maximizing the lifespan of our products with minimal required upkeep. Another advantage of powder coating is its high gloss and color retention.
All our doors and windows are powder coated at our in-house surface treatment facility, allowing us to monitor the full powder coating procedure. We are one of only a few companies worldwide with a QUALISTEELCOAT C5 certification, the highest possible certification for steel surface treatment. We are committed to maintaining this certification, regularly having our facilities inspected officially.
All our products are powder coated after full assembly, allowing our thermal zinc spraying process to offer complete protection at a level equal to the requirements for ships and oil rigs. Combined with our 6 mm (1⁄4”) thick solid steel profiles, corrosion has little chance, making our profiles last for 100+ years, according to the NEN-EN ISO-15686-2 standard.
At MHB, we can apply exclusive Qualicoat 2 finishes in any desired color. Following outdoor exposure testing in Florida, they retain color three times longer than average.
Are you in for something that truly stands out? Our liquid metal finishes assure you of that. These finishes possess the optical and physical properties of attractive metal types, for example, bronze, weathered or white bronze, yellow, green or brown brass, and our Gunsmoke finish.
The Classic-ISO profile system is engineered to maximize wind and water tightness following the most stringent European standards. It has invisible drainage channels and micro-engineered corner rubbers to prevent any condensation in the profiles.
All our products are weatherproofed up to a minimum of Class 4 following the European NEN-EN 12007 standard for wind resistance. They are also waterproofed up to at least Class 4A – 150 Pa following the European NEN-EN 12208 standard for water resistance. We can guarantee even higher standards of up to 1200 Pa on a project-specific basis.
We work with a selection of preferred glass suppliers to meet our high standards. We only accept minute size deviations of up to 0.5 mm (1⁄16”). Our solid steel profiles also facilitate arched and rounded glass shapes. Because of our ultra-slim profiles, our glass rim sealings should be extra thin. We offer four possible glass stops for our glazing: aluminum, L-shaped glass stops without visible connections, aluminum, triangular glass stops, and steel L-shaped glass stops with visible connections and putty seal..
Divided lites give your facades a more classic look with all the fine modern qualities of our steel profiles. For true divided lites (TDL), the window is divided into smaller glass panels, all separated by steel profiles.
Simulated divided lites (SDL) are indistinguishable from true divided lites based on their outer appearance but facilitate stronger glass panels and better insulation. Moreover, they only require muntins along the glass edges.
Our core materials and the manufacturing process of our products are in line with our environmentally friendly and sustainable business conduct.
