About this project

The owners of this home have put an emphasis on the desire to be surrounded by high quality material and fine craft. A suburban collection of properties was transformed to a pastoral estate. It is stylistically rooted in bucolic English Cotswold architecture celebrating fine, American craft in every aspect of design and construction. An unbundled concept separates different functioning spaces. This allows a greater visual connection with the landscape by creating meaningful outdoor gathering areas between buildings and encouraging natural light throughout. The result is a timeless collection of modestly scaled buildings thoughtfully choreographed to create a compound that is inviting yet protective while embracing and comforting family and friends.
